How To Reduce Humidity In Your Curved Glass Display Case?

But, even with a bakery display case, some bakery items may appear soggy in the case, which may not be appetizing enough to draw customers’ attention. Therefore, affecting the quality of your bakery products, and loss of potential customers. This usually happens due to the rise of humidity level in your bakery display case. Here are some of the tips to reduce humidity in your curved glass display case.
  • Purchase A Display Case That Comes With Humidity Controls - Although most of the refrigerated cake display have temperature controls, some also come with humidity controls. If your display case is having a lot of humidity issues, it’s time to upgrade to a new display case.
  • Never Keep Hot Cakes In Your Glass Display Case - Generally, humidity results when warm air hits the cold air, and creating droplets of moisture inside the glass display. For example, by keeping hot baked products into your bakery display case you can increase the condensation inside. As a result, humidity occurs in your glass case. To avoid this, you must wait until the baked items reach the room temperature and then keep them in the display case.
  • Operate The Vents - Does your bakery display case have humidity controls? Don’t worry, if it doesn’t! It may have vents. To reduce the humidity level in your display case, you need to operate the vents until you get the results. However, there is no right or wrong while operating the vents it completely depends on the humidity level inside your case, the outside temperature, and many other factors.
  • Place Some Sodium Bicarbonate Inside Your Display Case - Try keeping an open box of sodium bicarbonate inside your glass display case to reduce humidity levels, prevent soggy cakes, and remove condensation. Sodium bicarbonate can absorb the excess of moisture in the case. Make sure you keep it in an unobtrusive place in the display case in every few months.
  • Avoid Opening And Closing Of The Display Too Frequently In Hot Weather - If the weather outside is really hot, your refrigerated display case will get hot air whenever you open the door. So, try to open your case door as less as possible.
