What Are The Differences Between Refrigerated Fish Display Cases & Deli Cases?

For most of you, commercial refrigerated display cases, meat display cases or fish cases may all appear to be the same. You might have seen or used all of them and might think, aren't they all the same? But for a store owner, the perspective changes and they focus more on their features and how useful they are for their stores. Because being a store owner, you may know what you need in order to keep your products fresh, but the variety in which display cases are available might confuse you.

Although all the refrigerated deli cases might have a similar appearance from the outside, it’s their features that differentiate them from one another. Still, a considerable difference that you can make out is the display of the glass. There are basically two types of glasses available for the displays, the curved and the straight glass. The curved glasses are more expensive but it's totally up to the store owner preferences, as all that matter is the type of refrigerated deli cases they must purchase for their store’s products.

Here we have tried to bring out some common differences between the three most common cases.

Refrigerated Fish Display Cases - These types of display cases are most suitable for food items like fish and seafood. These display cases are designed to present a variety of fish and seafood products to keep them fresh. This is because fish require special handling than bakery and meat products. It’s primarily the deck that differs that is made out of stainless steel. This produced deck helps to provide an open area to display the fish and seafood, such that the temperature can be maintained for an extended period of time.

Deli Cases -  Whether you want to store sliced meats, cheese, salads, or prepared sandwiches deli cases work best. They differ from fish display in the manner that they blow air directly onto the product. Fresh meat cases are designed for products that require humidity and low velocity. Meat cases feature two gravity coils to help regulate the temperature inside the cases. Coils are placed at the bottom and top of the unit for maximum usage.
